- Saturday
– Morning Session – 10:00am – noon
– Afternoon Session – 2:00pm – 4:00pm
– Testing – 4:00pm - Sunday – Morning Session – 10:00am to 12:00pm
The cost for the seminar is $100 for the entire weekend. There is a $25 discount for advanced registration reducing the entire weekend cost to $75. You must register and pay by November 4th in order to receive the discount. Daily rates for pre-registration and at the door are listed below.

Shihan Ruriko Masutani founded Aikido of Pittsburgh in 1968 by after she emigrated from Japan. Shihan Masutani began practicing Aikido in her native Japan as a child in the early 1950’s under the guidance of her father. After moving to the United States and finally settling in Pittsburgh, Shihan Masutani continued training and began teaching seminars up and down the east coast. She has been teaching Aikido in Pittsburgh for over 45 years.
Shihan Minoru Oshima founded Kodokai Aikido in 1980 and is the author of the book Ki Points. Currently he conducts classes at the headquarters located in Temecula, California and has 11 dojos in his organization in Japan and the US. Kodokai focuses on combining the energy of our partners and ourselves to build stronger energy. The aim is to develop and improve ourselves. The Etna Dojo was opened in 1994 by Aikido of Pittsburgh. Aikido of Pittsburgh is an independent, unaffiliated martial arts school offering classes in traditional Aikido, and welcomes all who desire to train in Aikido in a dynamic and non-aggressive environment.
